Impact
Why now?
Impact investing is booming and has attracted the attention of an increasing number of investors in the last years. On top of mandates that are imposed on institutions, people also seek to bring positive impact with their investments.
According to GIIN, the market for impact investing grew by a whopping 42% in 2019 bringing the total assets under management from $502 billion to $715 billion. A study in 2015 (Fried, Busch and Bassen) found that 90% of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) criterias have positive or neutral impact on financial returns. Another study from the DWS and the University of Hamburg found that 63% demonstrated a strong correlation between Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) performance and positive financial returns.
